Heating System Powerflush
5 hours required. Clears the heating system of sludge, gets radiators working properly again
Service details
A Powerflush machine connects to the heating system, pushes water with a cleaning additive around to clear blockages and capture loose debris. It then pumps the dirty water and sludge out, replacing it with clean water. We then add corrosion inhibitor to the water which protects the system into the future. 5 hours are required. The fixed price service is a full Powerflush of a typical domestic heating system and radiators including the addition of system cleaner, corrosion inhibitor and servicing of the system filter (if present). IMPORTANT NOTE During the Powerflush one radiator (or sometimes the system filter) will need to be temporarily removed. The engineer will require access to a water inlet (bathroom, kitchen or outside tap) and a suitable drain (toilet or outside drain). All three of these: radiator (or filter), inlet and drain must be in close proximity. These are requirements for the machine to operate correctly, typically a standard bathroom provides all three. We cannot guarantee that a Powerflush will totally clear every system, in some cases where a large or strong blockage has built up which cannot be cleared by flushing, further work may need to take place such as the addition of longer working cleaning agents or accessing and replacing sections of pipework. Our engineer will discuss this with you if necessary once the Powerflush has been completed.
