Part of our work involves checking over hobs and/or cookers, we also install new ones
Boiler/Heating/Cylinder controls often go wrong
We install a lot of boiler controls, thermostats and programmers. The most common work is installation of wireless room thermostats.
We have experience servicing and installing cylinders
New or old, direct or indirect, pressurised or vented, we know cylinders
Working radiators and valves are essential in winter
We have a lot of experience with both standard and electric radiators. For the worst of heating issues we are able to 'Powerflush' the whole heating system to remove sludge and debris.
Pumps are an integral part of any hot/cold water system
We have experience installing, repairing and servicing all common domestic pump types and models.
Shower cartridge diagnosis and repair/replace
When a shower develops an issue, often it is caused by a failed shower cartridge. A skilled plumber is required to remove the cartridge safely, locate a replacement part and get the shower working again.
Re-applying silicone and/or grout where necessary
Silicone and grout often develops mould and re-applying to look neat can be tricky; our team are experts and will get your space looking new again in no time
Smoke and CO alarms are essential to home safety
We can advise on best placement and have supplied and installed many alarms, both mains and battery style.
Not so common but we do work on gas fireplaces
If you have one, we will check it as part of a gas safety check or can service at your request.
We see a lot of problems with two and three port valves
A key part of the heating and hot water system, their failure often means the whole system stops working; we are able to quickly diagnose issues then repair/replace as necessary.
We come across 'at risk' or 'dangerous' situations
Sometimes we have to shut down a gas appliance or the whole gas supply if an 'immediately dangerous' situation is discovered
That little window should always be removed
Its a manufacturer safety upgrade; we will always change them when discovered
Changing this pump meant removing everything from the bottom half of the boiler!
Our engineer diligently removed every single lower component and one of the supply pipes, then was finally able to remove the pump.
Every part then had to be reinstalled with their own new o-rings and a lot of grease.
The job had been refused by a previous engineer and so the boiler had been out of action for some time, needless to say the tenant was pleased.
Domestic Boiler Install - Streatham
We removed an old Worcester Bosch Combi boiler and installed a new Ideal Esprit Eco2 with a new magnetic filter and external filling loop. The process included a Gas Safety Check and corrosion inhibitor was added to futureproof the system. The work was completed within a day.
A radiator had not been secured well and fell off!
Our engineer was called to resolve the situation. Small channels were cut in the plaster wall, small batons were then installed in the channels and the radiator rehung onto the batons. The heating system was then fully reinstated.
We were tasked with recreating a tired bathroom
Our client wanted a brighter bathroom with minimal pipework hidden in the wall. Over a two week project we renewed the tiling and every fitting leaving the client very happy. Get in touch if you would like us to quote for a large project like this.
